Rough Morning For Baltimore Woman Brightened By $146K Maryland Lottery Jackpot

A Maryland woman who was up late taking care of her sick husband would describe the start of Sunday, Jan. 14 as a “rough morning.”
But everything changed when she walked into Wise Carroll Mart on Wise Avenue in Dundalk and purchased a FAST PLAY $10 Wild Bonus X10 ticket, ultimately winning her more than $146,000.
The game has a progressive jackpot that starts at $100,000 and grows with the sale of each ticket until a progressive jackpot winning ticket is sold.
The woman looked over her ticket, double-checked it with the Maryland Lottery app, and was startled when the words “See Lottery” appeared, she tells officials.
Despite matching the winning number 32 on the ticket and seeing “Progressive Jackpot” listed as the prize, the Baltimore woman still wasn’t convinced she’d won.
She then scanned her ticket at the store’s ticket checker, which took away all doubt by confirming her winnings — $146,425.
The semi-retired resident was elated to share the news with her husband and brother-in-law. She’ll be using the money to pay off some bills and pump up her savings account, she tells officials.
The FAST PLAY $10 Wild Bonus X10 game now has 27 progressive jackpots remaining, along with 17 $50,000 prizes and 90 $10,000 prizes.
