Restaurant Stop Gives Lucky Maryland Lottery Player A Tasty $50,000 Prize

A Charles County woman enjoyed a tasty BBQ meal with a side of $50,000 after cashing in big on a Maryland Lottery “FAST PLAY” ticket.

The woman from Waldorf found “lottery luck” while dining in Prince George’s County at Texas Ribs & BBQ on Old Branch Avenue in Clinton, officials said on Thursday, July 21 after she cashed in the winning $10 ticket for a five-figure prize.

She nearly won the top prize, matching five of the eight winning numbers on the “FAST PLAY Lucky Numbers" ticket for her latest windfall.

The Waldorf resident matched numbers 3, 8, 19, 25, and 38, with each earning her a $10,000 prize for a grand total of $50,000.

“The Lucky Numbers game has a progressive jackpot that grows with the sale of each ticket until a player buys the winning ticket,” according to Maryland Lottery officials.

There are 19 unclaimed progressive jackpot prizes remaining, with 29 unclaimed $50,000 prizes and 39 $10,000 prizes along with others ranging from $10 to $1,000.
