The opening of ONE Casino and Resort in Richmond, Virginia has been postponed until October 2024.
Richmond's ONE Casino + Resort opening has been delayed until October 1, 2024. The new timeline for two ordinances for the project was presented at the Organizational Development Committee meeting on Monday. The luxury hotel is also postponed until Oct 1 2025. It will be ready to show off its 250 rooms a year after the opening of the casino.
Richmond’s ONE Casino could open in October 2024. Rosie's Gaming Emporium is the only legitimate gambling venue in the Richmond area. Councilwoman Reva M. Trammell is not sure how her South Side area would benefit from the development.
The state Lottery has to grant preliminary approval for the casino developer and site. After that, the project development will go for a vote on a referendum. If the referendum passes, RVA Entertainment Holdings LLC. will turn to the Lotteries for $15 million check and documentation. The Lotters will then decide if it will grant the company operation licenses.
