Two Lottery Winners Strike Six Figure Jackpots in Maryland
GLEN BURNIE, MD & LA PLATA, MD – Two Maryland lottery players have hit major jackpots. A lucky individual won a $500,000 jackpot with a Multi-Match ticket from a Royal Farms in Glen Burnie, while another scored $190,383 from a FAST PLAY ticket at a Walmart in La Plata.
On Monday, the winning Multi-Match ticket was sold at the Royal Farms located at 930 Cromwell Park Drive in Glen Burnie. The numbers drawn were 12, 14, 28, 32, 33, and 42. The winner now faces a choice between an annuity of $500,000, distributed over 25 years, or a $250,000 cash option before taxes. This marks the fourth time the Multi-Match jackpot has been won this year.
The FAST PLAY ticket that won the $190,383 jackpot was part of the $10 Grand Progressive game, and is the first of 28 progressive jackpots to be claimed. The ticket was purchased at the Walmart at 40 Drury Drive in La Plata. Despite the win, there are still several large prizes available in the game, including six $50,000 awards and forty-eight $10,000 prizes.
Lottery officials are advising all winners to sign their tickets immediately and keep them secure. Winners have 182 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes.
For those winning over $25,000, claims must be made by mail or at the Lottery headquarters located at the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. The Claims Center operates by appointment only.
Retailers involved in the sale of the winning tickets are also celebrating. Both the Anne Arundel County Royal Farms and the St. Mary’s County Walmart will receive a $1,000 bonus for their role in selling the jackpot-winning tickets.
