PlayStar Puts All its Chips on Colorado for Internet Gambling Reform
Colorado has been betting on sports since May 2020. Online gambling brought in a record $1.8 million in August. Playstar, the operator that already operates in New Jersey, Indiana and Pennsylvania, has forged a partnership with GF Gaming that will give it access to the Colorado online casino market.
PlayStar has partnered with GF Gaming, which owns Easy Street and Famous Bonanza Casinos in Central City. PlayStar is positioning itself for a pre-emptive strike on the Colorado market. If Colorado does legalize online casinos, it will provide market access to casinos that already have licensed land-based facilities.
PlayStar wants Colorado to introduce an online gambling law. Colorado has relaxed gambling laws and legalized sports betting two years ago.
