    Washington, D.C. – A 13-year-old juvenile has been apprehended by the Metropolitan Police Department following an armed carjacking incident in Northwest Washington.

    The event occurred in the early hours of Saturday, July 13, when the suspect confronted a victim at a gas station on the 3500 block of Connecticut Avenue, brandishing a handgun and demanding the car keys.

    After the victim complied, the suspect fled with the vehicle. Police successfully located both the suspect and the vehicle shortly afterward in Southeast D.C., where the arrest was made.

    The juvenile, from Northeast D.C., has been charged with armed carjacking as detectives continue their investigation into the incident.

    Washington, D.C. – In a recent update on a devastating collision that resulted in two fatalities on Southern Avenue, authorities have released the identity of the second individual who died in the crash.

    On Tuesday, July 2, a high-speed chase involving U.S. Park Police and Anne Arundel County Police ended tragically when a silver BMW sedan, linked to multiple robberies, lost control. The car, speeding southbound on the 4100 block of Southern Avenue, Southeast, veered off the road, struck a tree, and split in half upon impact with an iron fence. The violent crash resulted in the immediate deaths of two individuals at the scene.

    The second victim has been identified as 18-year-old Zagory Leo Hill of District Heights, MD. Earlier, police had identified the first decedent as 17-year-old Dashawn Harris of Southeast. A 19-year-old male, also from Southeast, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and was apprehended while trying to flee. He has been charged with Fugitive from Justice and is currently receiving medical care for non-life-threatening injuries.

    This incident followed the vehicle's involvement in an armed robbery, confirmed by its VIN on Wednesday, July 3.
