Paraguay Gambling Council raises more than US$ 10 million in the first half

Paraguay Gambling Council raised 69.404 million guaraníes in the first half of 2022. The pool game contributed with 48,848 million Guaranis, about US$ 7.1 million. Casinos contributed 6,808 million Guinea Guaraniis (US$ 990,000), sports betting 5,442 million Guyans ( US $ 791 thousand), and Telebingos 4,244 million GUARANIS (U$ 617 thousand). Online games contributed 2.2 millionGuyans.
Conajzar obtained 11,795 million guaraníes in January, 11.257 million in February, 11,.257m in March, 1,63m in April, and 11 1.68m. In June, it collected 11:6m Guaranis (US$ 1:69m).
The Paraguayan Judiciary suspended the preliminary hearing in which the imposition of restrictive measures against José Antonio Ortiz Báez, former director of Conajzar, and others implicated in alleged irregularities in the gaming exploitation sentences would be evaluated. The Public Ministry maintains that those involved would have favored the company TDP in context of the signing of a concession contract for the exploitation of Quiniela game.
