Pair of Northeast Iowa Men Split InstaPlay Lottery Prize, Again
A Chickasaw County man and a Bremer County will share an Iowa Lottery prize almost $200,000.
The Iowa Lottery says 59-year-old Jim Bergman of Frederika and 79-year-old Frank Peters of New Hampton will split a “JACKPOT PARTY®” Progressive InstaPlay game prize of $194,000 after purchasing their winning ticket at the Frederika Tap in Frederika.
Bergmann says it’s not the first time the same bar and same game have been lucky for him and Peters.
Bergmann added that after winning he and Peters did a little high-five and bought everybody a round.
Bergmann, who works at Target Distribution in Cedar Falls, says he doesn’t have any immediate plans for his portion of the winnings.
Peters, a semi-retired farmer, will likely use his winnings to continue tending to the farm he still owns.
The JACKPOT PARTY® Progressive jackpot starts at $10,000 and increases with each ticket sold statewide until it is won.
