Nevada, US casinos break revenue records in May

The American Gaming Association reports the second-best revenue month in history for the commercial casinos. In May, the industry earned $5.03 billion, up 7.9 percent year-over-year. Nevada posted the highest revenue of any state.
Commercial gaming revenue is 20.6% ahead of the same period last year. March, April and May of this year marked the three best gaming months in industry history. Traditional casino games generated revenue of $4.13 billion in May. Sports betting brought in $487.5 million in revenue from commercial operations in 26 states. iGaming generated $406.4 million. Table game revenue jumped 10. 5% from May 2021. Only four states are behind their gaming revenues at the start of 2021: Kansas, Kansas (-21.2%, Kansas -0.8%, Mississippi -2.0%, and South Dakota -1.9%. AGA is pushing government help to shut down illegal operating offshore-based online casinos.
