Nevada Casinos Suffered Net Loss of $206m in FY2021
Nevada Casinos Suffered a net loss of $206.4m in the fiscal year ended June 30, 2021. The total revenue for the casinos was $16.1bn. Just over half of that was from gaming, while the rest came from other services.
The Las Vegas Strip lost $2 billion on $8.7 billion in revenue. The rest of the state was in the black. There was a 5. 7% increase in gaming revenue from FY2020. The pandemic was the reason for both increased gaming win all over the State and the massive net loss on the Strip.
Nevada eclipsed the $1bn mark in gross gaming revenue for the ninth consecutive month in November. The Strip had $755.1m in gaming win for that month. Every market in the state was up from the previous year.
