Nevada $13.4bn 2021 Gaming Revenue Sets New Record
Nevada's total gaming revenue last year reached a record-breaking $13.4bn.
Nevada's gaming revenue reached $13.4bn in 2021. The previous record was $12.8bn set in 2007. Sports betting was a success in Nevada last year with total betting handle reaching $8.1bn.
Nevada's non-restricted gaming licensees generated $1.15bn in gaming revenue last month. Clark County provided the bulk of this revenue, accounting for $998m. Las Vegas Strip saw its December gaming revenues rise 123% year-on-year up to $650.7m, and other counties also had a strong December.
Nevada visitor numbers are rising. The region is recovering from pandemic concerns. However, tourism numbers still remain lower than 2019 figures. International and business travel numbers remain low. Fitch Ratings estimates growth of the Las Vegas and regional gaming markets in the US will continue in 2022.
