Minnesota: Warroad Casino to open expanded casino floor on March 17
Red Lake Gaming Enterprises (Seven Clans Casinos) has completed a $12.4 million casino expansion project on its Warroad Casino’s gaming floor. The project is now finalized and set to open to the public on March 17 at noon with special guest and hometown hockey legend Henry Boucha. To commemorate this celebration, Boucha will be greeting and signing autographs.
The expansion includes an additional 9,000 square feet of slot floor and adds 100 slot machines and a new casino gaming floor entrance. It also features the new sports restaurant and bar, Pucks & Pints Bar, which the company says is "the perfect place to dine and enjoy a beverage with our many TVs and bar-top slot machines.”
The new menu offers “fun, creative, upscale casual food offerings and a full bar with sophisticated draft beer system serving many varieties of the coldest draft beers,” the casino business said. “An intimate stage is next to the new bar to host local bands, DJs, and live entertainment.”
Angela Dauphinais, CEO of Red Lake Gaming Enterprises, commented: “COVID-19 slowed construction on the expansion, but this was well worth the wait. This casino expansion showcases beautiful architectural details making our casino one of the most beautiful properties in Minnesota.”
“We are excited this project is complete and we have another amenity for our patrons to enjoy," Dauphinais added. "Grand openings are always a special time to celebrate our team and partners’ hard work and dedication to complete this project and the patience of our guests during this 9-month construction period. This is an investment we’re making for the long-term future of the tribe and community.”
Mike Pankow, Warroad General Manager, said: “We can’t wait for our valued casino guests and new visitors to experience all that Seven Clans Casino, Warroad has to offer. We are committed to remaining one of the most unique Northern Minnesota gaming destinations.”
Seven Clans Casino, Warroad & Hotel is located on Lake of the Woods right in Warroad, Minnesota. “The team is excited to welcome new and longtime guests to the expanded property," the company said. "The Warroad Casino hotel features 60 hotel rooms, and a gaming floor with over 680 gaming machines, three dining establishments and meeting rooms.”
