Macomb County Nurse Wins $473,606 Fantasy 5 Jackpot from the Michigan Lottery

A Macomb County woman extended her lucky streak when she won a $473,606 Fantasy 5 jackpot from the Michigan Lottery.
The player, who chose to remain anonymous, matched the Fantasy 5 numbers in the Sept. 29 drawing to win the big prize: 04-06-11-13-37. She bought her winning ticket online at MichiganLottery.com.
“I have been on a lucky streak lately, so a friend suggested I play Fantasy 5,” said the 31-year-old player. “I picked 10 numbers, and now here I am! I can definitely say this is the luckiest I have ever been!”
The player didn’t even know she had won until a phone call came in from her friend.
“I was out, and my friend called to tell me the drawing had happened,” said the player. “They gave me the numbers and as soon as I heard ‘13’ I knew I must have won because that is my favorite number.”
The lucky player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. She plans to save her winnings.
“Being a nurse, I have worked so much the last year and a half. This is going to give me a nice cushion,” the player said.
Each Fantasy 5 play is only $1. For an additional $1 per play, EZmatch may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a chance to win up to $500 instantly. For an additional $1 per play, Double Play may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to $110,000 in the nightly Double Play drawing. Fantasy 5 players select five numbers from one to 39. Players who match all five Fantasy 5 numbers drawn win a jackpot that starts at $100,000. Fantasy 5 drawings are held seven days a week at 7:29 p.m.
