Macao Gambling Revenue Was Down 63% in January

Macao casinos' January gambling revenue fell 63.7% from December. It's the 12th straight month the year-over-year drop was greater than 60%.

January's monthly gaming revenue came in at 8 billion patacas, the local currency. Macao casinos continue to suffer from low visitation rates due to travel visa processing delays, testing for COVID-19 and VIP gamblers staying away. Wynn Resorts' Macau revenue is down 84% year to date, Melco Resort's is also down 72%. Chinese New Year holiday will take place the week of Feb. 11 to Feb 17.
