Loto-Québec Recaps First Half of 2022-23 FY
Loto-Québec reports total revenues of CA$1.466 billion and a consolidated net income of $805.3 million for the first half of the 2022-2023 fiscal year. The comparison to 2021-2020 is not fair as some of Loto Québe's activities were suspended from April 1 to the middle of June 2021.
Crown reports that revenue from lottery is down 5.8% from the last fiscal year. Online casino revenue is up 8.9%. Revenue from gaming establishments is also up. The organization gave out 54 lottery prizes of CA$1 million or more. It also launched two new Kinzo halls, one in Sherbrooke and one in Longueuil. La Poule aux œufs d’or returned to TV screens on August 28 for a new season and celebrated its 30th anniversary.
