Logan Couple Cheery Over Charming $100,000 Lottery Win
A Logan couple can say farewell to renting after scoring $100,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw, revealing it will help them with a for their first family home.
The Queensland residents won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10631, drawn Tuesday 2 August 2022.
The merry mother took a little bit longer to discover her windfall after initially misinterpreting the winning phone calls as a scam.
“I can’t think straight – I’m super nervous!” she shared when she finally spoke to an official from The Lott.
“I’m getting a bit teary! I need a minute.
“I saw a text message a day or two after the draw advising that to call The Lott head office and I couldn’t wrap my head around it. I thought it was a scam, so I ignored it.
“It wasn’t until this morning that I had a real think, and I decided to show my husband. I said to him, ‘Can you look at this please?’. That’s when he told me to call up.
“I have to dial in my husband to tell him that it’s true. I’m really nervous!”
“Woo-hoo! This is great!”
The Southeast Queenslander dialled in her husband during the call should she need him for support as she grappled with the winning news.
“She is so, so deserving of this prize!” the winning man added.
“She’s a hard worker and a great mum. I can tell this means a lot to her.”
When asked how the dynamic duo planned to enjoy their $100,000 prize, they said it would help them purchase their first family home.
“We’re going to put it towards a house deposit. It’s something we’ve wanted to do for a very long time!” she exclaimed.
“We will definitely celebrate this moment on the weekend – maybe have a couple of drinks!”
Her winning entry of five random numbers was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $13.01 million for draw 1585, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $21.47 million for draw 10636.
In 2021, 127 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.
During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by a Coolangatta man who a Mega Jackpot prize of $9.41 million in May.
