The Las Vegas population was estimated to have 2.38 million people as of the end of 2020. UNLV’s Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) now says that the population will only grow over the next four decades.

UNLV’s Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) estimated that Las Vegas to be 2.38 million by the end of 2020. CBER is forecasting that Las Vegas and Southern Nevada will be home to approximately 3.383 million people by 2060.

That is something Southern Nevada real estate agents, residential and commercial developers, casino resorts will cheer about the CBER annual Clark County population forecast.

CBER forecast will also give policymakers and government agencies an insight into the number of people to expect in Southern Nevada in the next 10, 20, or 30 years.

“The forecast influences decisions on everything from how many more schools need to be built to how many police officers, firefighters, and doctors need to be hired to sustain the growth.”

Nevada industries and business sectors will also utilize the data. For instance, the Las Vegas casinos will have a large local customer base in the coming decades.

There are many reasons for the Las Vegas rush. From low housing costs compared to California, to the inexistence of state income tax in Nevada, sunshine year-round makes Nevada an ideal place to call home.

Furthermore, Las Vegas is the US casino capital, and that means its tourism is growing and creating numerous careers that attract more people to the region.
