Kim Zolciak Speaks Amid Foreclosure, Gambling Habits Exposed
Kim Zolciak‘s gambling habits are being exposed as her and Kroy Biermann‘s family home heads to the auction block.
According to a new report, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum and former Don’t Be Tardy star, who is said to enjoy slot machines, blackjack, and even scratch-offs, once blew the cost of “a whole RV” in Las Vegas and lost an alleged whopping $250,000 at a casino in the Bahamas.
On February 21, the Daily Mail revealed that Kim’s love of gambling was featured on a number of episodes of Don’t Be Tardy before the Bravo reality series was canceled, including a December 2020 episode in which Kim and her family were seen traveling to Sin City.
As fans may recall, Kim spent 11 hours gambling and “would have been up a whole RV,” which can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, if she had quit while she was ahead.
“But I just can’t help it – I kind of broke even,” she shared.
“I don’t even need to eat here in Vegas,” Kim also said. “As long as I have my wine and my water, I don’t need sleep, and I don’t need food.”
Even Kim’s kids addressed her habits.
“[My mom] is a high roller in Vegas, Alabama, North Carolina” exchanging hundreds of dollars “for hours,” Brielle Biermann
At one point during the Vegas trip, Kim told Kroy, “We should just move to Vegas.” But in response, Kroy made it clear he was not on board.
“Oh my God,” he replied, rolling his eyes.
Throughout her years of gambling, Kim, whose home will be auctioned off on March 7 by Truist Bank in Georgia, established a reputation at multiple casinos and frequently enjoyed comps on limousine rides and private suites.
“Planet Hollywood and Caesar’s, let’s be honest, they do know us,” she admitted.
As Kim was seen in Vegas on Don’t Be Tardy, an insider told Radar Online that she “gambled away $30,000 in Vegas” at The Palms Casino.
“She had some small wins here and there, around $250, but for the most part the money is gone,” the source added, noting Kim had played “a combination of black jack, craps and … slot machines, too.”
On another episode of her spinoff, in 2016, Kim lost $25,000 at a Montana casino.
“I bet big to win big … but when you’re losing it definitely becomes more of a nuisance than anything, and then I start getting p-ssed … when I start losing I start losing my f-cking mind,” she explained at the time.
At the end of last year, after an online report suggested Kim’s house had sold for just $257,000, Kim took to her Instagram Story to insist the rumor was false.
“Ok you guys, my house has not sold for $257,000,” she insisted. “If you guys think I would let my home that we’ve put millions and millions of dollars into go for $257,000, you’re an idiot, okay? For real. So, what are you gonna do, haters, when I’m here for Christmas, and I’m here for my birthday in May, and I’m here for all these amazing dates?”
“I’m here until I f-cking want to move, until I decide I don’t want to live here anymore. So, enjoy the view, haters. You’re going to be seeing it for quite some time,” she added.
Although Kim has not spoken out about the latest rumors regarding her home‘s reportedly impending foreclosure, she did post a message to her Instagram Story on Tuesday, which included a quote from Elbert Hubbard that read, “There is only one way to avoid criticism: say nothing, do nothing, BE nothing.”
“I know that’s right!!” she declared in a caption.
Kim’s family’s spinoff, Don’t Be Tardy, was after eight seasons.
