Italy’s Gambling Market Grows Year-over-Year in April
The Italian iGaming market posted its first upward trend in a long time this April. It is the first time the gambling segment in the country inched up driven by stronger-than-expected interactive wagering since November 2021.
Gambling in Italy is not very lucrative. The interactive gaming market in April posted a contraction from March’s €302.4 million ($318 million) to €292.2 million $307.27 million. Sports betting revenue dropped by 6.7%. Sisal and Snai managed to grab a bigger share of the sports betting market. PokerStars still dominates the poker segment. The black market accounts for 23% of all money wagered in the country.
