IGT Wants Zynga Win Wiped Out in Patent Suit Over Slot Game Tech

Units of International Game Technology PLC told a federal judge to wipe out a Texas jury’s noninfringement verdict because of a lack of evidence to support Zynga Inc.’s October win, while prejudicial errors were made in the case concerning a patent and three online casino slot games.

IGT and IGT Canada Solutions ULC argued the jury ignored their objection to Zynga’s evidence over the meaning of the patent claim language, including “re-establishing/establishing a wireless communication link.”Redacted versions of IGT’s replies to its motions and Zynga’s response were filed Thursday.
