Huge EuroMillions jackpot hits £45million and it could be yours TONIGHT
THE EuroMillions jackpot is a whopping £45million tonight - meaning the winner will be richer than Rita Ora.
Brits are urged to buy a ticket for draw on the way home from work this evening, or risk missing a huge pay-out.
If one person takes home the full amount, they'll have more than twice the cash popstar Ora does.
The 31-year-old has a net worth of £22million, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.
They still won't be quite as loaded as Harry Styles, who reportedly has a net worth of £75m, Adele, with £130m, or Ed Sheeran, who has a staggering estimated worth of £147m.
Despite that, the sum will be more than enough to be going on with.
Like David Beckham, the winner could easily choose to splash £5m on their own luxury yacht without breaking a sweat.
They may even choose to share their fortune - copying George Clooney, who gave 14 of his closest friends $1m back in 2013 for supporting him.
That prize was the 11th biggest lottery win ever. The largest amount ever won in the UK was back in October 2019, when £170.2m was claimed.
Another British ticket-holder also won the Millionaire Maker Selection on the same night in February.
Any ticket-holder concerned over how to spend their new fortune will be offered top advice by Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery.
He told Sun Online: "Take your time. When people do win, it suddenly becomes serious, so people aren't often as gregarious as they think they will be.
"It is a bit of a huge shock. And sometimes you can be sort of concerned with the shock, you forget to celebrate.
"For your own sake, you want to look back and think actually, I shall never ever forget this.
"Because I think if anything happens to your life - if you get married, if you move house, if you have a child - you celebrate it."
The National Lottery started in 1994, and has since raised more than £45bn for good causes.
During 2021 alone, more than 660,000 individual grants were made to charities across the UK – the equivalent of around 235 in every UK postcode district.
Last year was also an extraordinary 12 months for National Lottery winners.
A total of 360 players joined the exclusive millionaires' club last year – nearly one new millionaire every day.
Any cash that isn’t claimed after a total of 180 days from a game played in the UK goes to National Lottery projects across the country.
