Circa Las Vegas is using art and design to reflect the city's colorful past. The lobby features Vegas Vickie, the neon cowgirl, and a rotating mural behind the registration desk. Barry's Downtown Prime features a life-size statue of Paul Saginaw, owner of Sapsinaw's Delicatessen. Alice O’Keefe, former director of design & architecture at Circa, is the property”s design advisor. It is one of the first entry points to the Circas property.

Derek wanted to create a multi-sensory experience for his guests. Derek's main directive was to make Circa look and feel good.
In the early days of the design development, I took a room in the project trailer and posted all the walls with images referencing color palettes, textures, patterns and feelings. The team did a lot of scaled mockups for signage, seating layouts, parking stalls, suite layouts and exterior design elements.
Vegas Vickie was a big challenge during the design phase of Circa Las Vegas' project. The project was successful. The casino is using art and design to preserve Sin City's history.
Circa Las Vegas mixes old and new Vegas. The designers carefully considered this throughout the process. It was important that the property was well rounded.
Circa Las Vegas opened early due to the pandemic restrictions. The casino was intended to open at the end of December. There are 3-5 interesting pieces of art/design placed around the property that pay homage to Las Las. They are: the vintage signage rotating display behind the front desk, a glass tile mural at main Fremont Street entrance, casino chips, dice and felts in the elevator lobbies, and a quilted vintage blackjack table. They were all sourced from a local distributor.
The Circa is a modern, modern and retro casino. The art pieces are inspired by the theme of Circas. They are on display behind the front desk. There are also pieces of Las Vegas casino history in framed shadow boxes in the elevator lobbies. The pieces were sourced from a local distributor.
