Gun Lake Casino names new food and beverage director
WAYLAND, MI — Gun Lake Casino has announced Brant Coulter, the former executive chef at Firekeepers Casino Hotel near Battle Creek, will serve as its director of food and beverage operations.
He started his job last week.
“We are thrilled to welcome Brant Coulter to the Gun Lake Casino family,” Lam Vongsakoun, vice president of hospitality at the casino, said in a news release. “His impressive track record, leadership skills, and dedication to excellence align perfectly with our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to our guests.”
In his new role, Coulter will oversee all food and beverage operations at Gun Lake. The casino includes Shkodé Chophouse, CBK (Craft·Bar·Kitchen) inspired by Michigan’s craft beer culture, 131 Sportsbar & Lounge and Harvest Buffet.
Previously, Coulter served as executive chef and director of culinary operations at Firekeepers, where he oversaw 350 employees. He’s also held various food and beverage positions at Four Winds Casino Resort in New Buffalo, Michigan.
Opened in 2011, Gun Lake Casino features over 2,500 slots, 47 table games, and several restaurants. It’s located just off U.S. 131 in Wayland, about halfway between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo.
