EGBA calls for widest support of European Safer Gambling Week
The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) has called on all gambling organisations to support the launch of its inaugural European Safer Gambling Week (ESGW) – hosted from 1-to-7 November.
ESGW seeks to establish an annual cross-industry initiative to promote safer gambling across Europe’s regulated online gambling markets
During the week, the EGBA will host a series of free-to-attend online workshops and webinars, sharing the insights and knowledge of safer gambling gained from Europe’s diverse regulated markets.
The headline theme of the inaugural ESGW is “Fostering a Stronger Culture of Safer Gambling in Europe”.
Europe’s first Safer Gambling Week, will coincide with the established campaigns that take place in the UK and Ireland.
ESGW is supported by the EGBA industry trade body members of AOJND (Romania), APAJO (Portugal), BAGO (Belgium), BGC (UK), BOS (Sweden), iGen (Malta), IBA (Ireland), Jdigital (Spain), LIAB (Latvia) and NOGA (The Netherlands).
“The aim of ESGW is to raise awareness of safer gambling between customers, gambling companies, regulatory authorities and the wider public and to share knowledge and information about the existing regulations for safer gambling, the tools available to promote safer gambling, tips on how to gamble more safely, latest research, and much more.” – detailed the EGBA statement.
