Durango Casino and Resort arrives with grand opening in southwest valley

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Durango Casino & Resort is ready to make its debut.
The new Station Casinos property opened at 10 a.m. Tuesday, bringing the southwest Las Vegas valley its first hotel-casino resort.
A fireworks show will cap off the celebrations at 9 p.m.
Executives say Durango will feature 200 luxury hotel rooms, 2,300 slot machines and more than 60 table games, along with a state-of-the-art sportsbook.
Dining options range from local favorites and original concepts to outposts from Los Angeles, New York and Philadelphia.
Durango is located at the corner of Durango Drive and the southern 215 Beltway.
