LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Mirage has only a few days of operations left, but before it closes, it has to pay out some big prizes.
A spokesperson for the resort confirmed it must disperse $1.6 million in progressive jackpots ahead of closing on Wednesday, July 17.
Progressive slot machine cash drawings began on Tuesday, July 9, and will run through Tuesday, July 16.
Slot players who are members of Hard Rock's rewards program will be able to win a share of $1.2 million. Drawings will take place every 30 minutes, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Table game players will be able to win a share of $400,000 in cash. Rewards members will be eligible to win if they play from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Nevada law requires gaming operators to pay out their progressive jackpots to patrons if the licensee ceases operations.
