September is the seventh consecutive month that casinos have posted a billion dollars in gaming revenues. The previous record was eight months in a row from November 2006 to May 2007. The success of casinos can be attributed to the demand for leisure travel, the Raiders and the return of live entertainment. Sports betting is also helping the casinos. There are also risks associated with casinos, such as masks.
Nevada casinos are booming with historic revenues. The third quarter's statewide gaming wins were $3.7billion. Clark County has recorded $1billion in gaming win five of the last six months. Dr. Belarmino thinks international travel could keep the streak going.
