Casino Lac-Leamy Violates Health Protocols
Casino Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, Quebec has violated health and safety regulations. The rules state that guests and staff of casinos in Quebec must wear a protective face mask and present proof of vaccination.
Linda Dumouchel noticed that some people were not wearing their protective face masks at the casino in Gatineau. Radio-Canada team spent two hours at casino venue and noticed people conversing and dancing without wearing a protective mask. Loto-Québec will send additional reminds to staff and customers to comply with the protocols. Dr. Bjerre believes people are starting to get tired and bored from the restrictions.
Casino Lac-Leamy violated health protocol and is involved in a dispute with staff members over salary increases. Over 80 security guards and surveillance workers threatened to go on strike in November. Union CUPE 3959 represents the unhappy workers.
