English casinos have been closed since March 23 due to the COVID-19 virus. The Betting and Gaming Council confirmed they're ready to reopen for business on July 4. The government ordered all unessential businesses, which included casinos, to close to halt the spread of the virus, but the lockdown restrictions are slowly being relaxed.

All staff and customers must use hand sanitizer before entering the casino and when joining or leaving a gaming table. They must remain at least two meters away from people who you don't reside with. ATMs must also be cleaned at at the least hourly. BGC’s Chief Executive, Michael Dugher, said that casinos make a significant contribution to the economy.

Not all casinos will open on July 4th. Some of the higher-end venues have a client based where the majority of tourists are from overseas. New arrivals to the United Kingdom must self-quarantine for 14 days.

Las Vegas Casinos are preparing to open to the public again on June 4. Iconic venues Bellagio, Caesars Palace, and MGM Grand are set to reopen. Nightclubs, shows, conferences will continue to be unavailable. Table games are being played on reduced capacity tables.
