Caesars Michigan Launches Caesars NHL Blackjack Live Casino Game
Caesars Palace Online Casino enhances the excitement of the 2024 NHL playoffs by launching its newest live dealer game, Caesars NHL Blackjack, produced in partnership with Evolution Gaming. The game is already available in the lobby of Caesars' .
Caesars Entertainment renewed its collaboration with the National Hockey League (NHL) at the start of March this year. The partnership's foundations were set in 2019, when this iGaming and sportsbook company received access to the NHL's intellectual property, enabling Caesars to design NHL-branded casino games for its North American markets.
Caesars NHL Blackjack is the latest product to emerge from this partnership deal. It represents another segment of the online casino's strategy to provide games that appeal to players' interests. According to statements made by Caesar Entertainment's executives in the press release announcing the game launch, this title represents only the initial chapter in the upcoming series of NHL-branded casino games.
Standard Blackjack Game
Caesars NHL Blackjack is a regular blackjack game that includes the standard rules and repertoire of side bets. The most significant difference between this live dealer version of Blackjack and other titles is the table design, which features the NHL logo and an icy blue hockey rink color. The croupiers are “borrowed” from Evolution Gaming, which streams the blackjack table live in high-quality video resolution.
This type of collaboration is nothing new in the industry. Provider Evolution Gaming offers unbranded table games hosted by in-house dealers, which are made available to different online casinos. At the same time, it can offer exclusive branded games. This type of business relationship is practiced with other Michigan casinos online, such as BetMGM and DraftKings. Caesars NHL Blackjack is another step towards exclusive content, becoming a growing trend in the Wolverine State iGaming market.
New NHL Branded Games in the Pipeline?
Caesars Entertainment is becoming more engaged with its iGaming sector, especially in the Michigan market. In the summer of 2023, the company launched a standalone casino app, Caesars Palace Online Casino, as a more dedicated and comprehensive iGaming platform to complement Caesars Sportsbook and Casino.
However, according to the company announcement at the start of May, a new casino app will be launched under the Caesars umbrella of brands by the end of 2024. Caesars currently ranks as the fifth best operator, as measured by revenue data. Its sizable game lobby and deals are one reason for the favorable market position. The announcement of new NHL games in the pipeline signals attempts for further growth.
Caesars has not provided additional information about what type of games can be expected in the future under the licensing agreements with the National Hockey League. However, it already offers other branded sports games featuring teams such as the NFL's Buffalo Bills, NBA's Memphis Grizzlies, and MLS's New York Mets, so an NHL slot will not be a surprise.
It's worth mentioning that Caesars is not the only online gambling company partnering with the NHL. BetMGM launched the slot NHL Gold Blitz in the Great Lakes State's iGaming scene in 2023.
