BGC hails success in reducing gambling ads during World Cup 2022
The Betting and Gaming Council has hailed the success of the whistle-to-whistle ban on gambling ads during the World Cup 2022. The organization claims that the ban has reduced the number of gambling advertisements broadcasted during this year's tournament by 34%. The ban prohibits advertisers from showing gambling adverts from five minutes before an event to five after it ends and before the 9 pm watershed.
