The Mirage Casino To Give Away $1.6 Million in Prizes

Due to its upcoming closure, The Mirage casino in Las Vegas has been mandated by Nevada regulations to distribute $1.6 million in unclaimed progressive jackpots before it closes. This payout, termed The Mirage Progressive Final Cash Giveaway, includes $1.2 million from slot machines and $400,000 from table games.

The slot jackpots will be given away daily on July 9-13 and July 16, with specific minimum amounts in the hundreds of thousands scheduled each day. Table game jackpots will be distributed through drawings on July 12 and 13.

The options for table games include:


  • Baccarat
  • Blackjack
  • Face-Up Pai Gow
  • Let It Ride
  • Three Card Poker
  • Ultimate Texas Hold ’em

After closure, Mirage casino chips can be redeemed at Treasure Island for 120 days.

Announced May 15, 2024, Hard Rock will build a new integrated resort featuring a nearly 700-foot guitar-shaped hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. This will come after The Mirage Hotel & Casino closes its doors for good on July 17, 2024. Hard Rock will provide $80 million in severance packages to eligible employees. Room reservations and show tickets beyond July 14, 2024, will be canceled and refunded automatically.

Joe Lupo, president of The Mirage, expressed gratitude to Mirage team members and announced plans for hiring events to help employees find new jobs. The new resort is expected to double the number of jobs at The Mirage and create over 2,500 construction jobs.
