Beau Rivage casino in MS ranked best in US outside Las Vegas

A Mississippi Gulf Coast casino made it onto the Top 10 list of best casinos in the U.S. and is rated the best casino outside of Las Vegas.
Beau Rivage Resort & Casino is the tallest building in Mississippi, and is often a surprise to first-time visitors when they see this Vegas-style casino on the shores of Biloxi.
Many of those who visit leave reviews on Tripadvisor and other websites, which helped propel it onto the Top 10 list. The study by local newspaper Hudson Reporter reviewed 850 casinos nationwide to decide the best in the country.
The study used six criteria: Tripadvisor rating, total Tripadvisor rating count, Google rating, total Google review count, Instagram hashtag count and average monthly search volume. Coming out on top is the Venetian Resort Las Vegas, which receives nearly 250,000 Google searches each month.
Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas comes in second. Both Bellagio and Beau Rivage are owned by MGM Resorts International.
Beau Rivage had a 4.4-star review on Google from 22,520 people and a 4.5-star review on Tripadvisor, the report shows.
Tripadvisor reviews emphasize that people stay there for more than the casino action.
“Our stay was great. Our room was clean. We requested a room close to the elevator. We received it. Our drive back to the airport was very pleasant. The bus driver was the sweetest,” one reviewer said.
Beau Rivage is celebrating its 25th anniversary year and continues to receive accolades.
“The initial $750 million investment was a huge gamble, a casino resort built to be a national destination in a regional sized market,” said Mary Cracchiolo, Beau Rivage director of communications. “It is nice to receive this recognition, and to know that 25 years later, we are doing better than ever. It’s a lot of people making that vision come to life.”
