Bally's launches online casino gaming in Rhode Island
(WJAR) — Bally’s announced the launch of its online casino experience in Rhode Island on Tuesday.
The online gaming, also known as iGaming, launched at noon and will allow customers to play slots and table games in the state of Rhode Island on the desktop or an iOS app.
With this launch, Bally’s said Rhode Island is the seventh state in the U.S. to offer an online casino experience.
"The live gaming product is very exciting." President of Bally's Rhode Island Operations Craig Eaton. "Not many states do that at all. So depending on demand we are ready and have room to grow."
To register and play, officials said customers need to be at least 21 years old and be physically located within the state. Residents will be able to create an account by downloading the Bally Casino app or by visiting
“I was proud to sponsor the legislation authorizing iGaming in Rhode Island, and I am excited for its implementation,” Senate President Dominick Ruggerio said in a release. “iGaming will ensure that Rhode Island remains at the forefront of the competitive gaming industry, reinforcing a critical revenue stream for the state while providing an alternative form of entertainment.”
According to Bally’s officials, around 170 slot games will be initially available through iGaming. The blackjack and roulette table games will feature a live dealer that will bel able to communicate with customers via a chat tool.
The Rhode Island Department of Revenue told that iGaming is expected to contribute nearly $25 million a year in new revenue by 2025.
