Australian slot provider Lightning Box makes Connecticut debut
Sydney-based online gaming supplier Lightning Box has gone live in Connecticut with Lightning Horseman, a popular slot game among US online casino players.
Lightning Box makes its Connecticut debut using the OpenGaming platform, and its game, Lightning Horseman, is being distributed in partnership with its parent company Scientific Games.
This Connecticut debut marks the fifth US market the supplier has entered, following its introduction in New Jersey, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Michigan respectively.
Lightning Box CEO Peter Causley has shared his delight at passing Connecticut legislation, particularly with more and more US states veering towards gaming legislation.
He notes: “Connecticut adds another piece to the jigsaw puzzle, and we’re excited about the opportunities presented in the state. US players in land-based and social casino are fans of our content and I’ve no doubt that popularity will continue to spread as more and more states regulate online.”
Lightning Box claims its latest debut reaffirms its status as 'a leading multi-channel supplier of video slots to the casino gaming industry.'
Parent company Scientific Games is equally as excited by Lightning Box’s latest launch. Its Vice-President (VP) of Game Development Rob Procter notes: “This is an exciting time for Lightning Box and we are delighted to support and assist them for another successful launch in the US. We have no doubt that ever-popular titles such as Lightning Horsemen and Chicken Fox will become firm favourites for iGamers in Connecticut.”
