Arrests Made in NJ and Pennsylvania Casino Counterfeit Case \
$16,000 in fake money was used at several casinos in Pennsylvania and New Jersey last year. Now, arrests have been made in the case.
Mahagany White, Nieem Johnson and Marcus Davis were arrested in connection with the counterfeit money case. Kiara Kristin Purnell is still at large. The suspects used $1 bills and a printing process to make them look like $100 bills. They used the same serial number on all the bills, which is not how currency printing works.
The suspects started circulating the money at the Rivers casino on April 6 and 7. They used the fake funds at Spanish 21 Blackjack tables during a two-day time frame. Purnell was at SugarHouse Casino with White in January. She didn't know the counterfeit money used was counterfeit. Johnson used 25 bills at Parx and 20 at Harrah's. He would buy-in with old and new bills and play a few hands, then cash out.
