A second influencer has been arrested by police for promoting illegal online gambling on social media within the week, sources said.

Police arrested 26-year-old influencer Cammi Tse Hei-ting, the former girlfriend of actor Edison Chen Koon-hei, for promoting or facilitating bookmaking and betting with a bookmaker on Friday.

The gambling website in connection to Tse's arrest was www.hmgame168.com, citing other media reports.

This is the second arrest police made within the week, after arresting So Miu-miu, 26, on Monday night in Cheung Sha Wan for promoting a gambling website – www.dc888win.com – and placing some HK$330,000 bets in baccarat and blackjack.

It was understood that So had been released on bail, and she must report to police in early March.

Both Tse and So have been sharing their experiences in online gambling as well as the gaming rules on social media and even offered their followers some tips, claiming they have won tens of thousands of dollars.

The case is now handled by the West Kowloon regional special duties team.
