Virginia casino license for Hard Rock International
The Virginia Lottery Board has awarded American casino operator Hard Rock International with a gambling license for its coming $400 million HardRock Hotel and Casino Bristol property. The temporary casino will be open from July 8 and will feature 870 slots and 21 gaming tables. It will also have a Hardrock merchandise store, restaurant and sports bars.
Hard Rock International has a license to build a casino in Bristol, Virginia. The company is responsible for twelve casinos in the United States. It hopes to open the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Bristol by the summer of 2024.
Hard Rock International has been granted a license to open a temporary casino in Bristol, Virginia. The company has already hired about 100 employees for the project. The majority of them are expected to begin work within 30 to 45 days of the opening of a 3,200-seat performance venue and 20,000-person outdoor entertainment facility.
The license for the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Bristol is the first to be awarded after lawmakers passed legislation in April 2020. The Chairman for Virginia Lottery Board, Ferhan Hamid, said the approval reflects the confidence he has in the rigorous and conscientious review conducted by the Lotteries Board’s staff.
