146 people arrested so far as Phnom Penh anti illegal gambling crackdown continues

The Phnom Penh Municipal Unity Command say they have cracked down on a total of 76 gambling crimes and arrested 146 people in 7 districts in Phnom Penh for the 7 days from September 17-23, 2022.
The update came from Colonel San Sok Seiha, spokesman for the Phnom Penh Municipal Police
Colonel San Sok Seiha stated that, “The results of the crackdown on illegal gambling for 7 days from September 17 to 23, 2022, in accordance with the order of HE Khuong Sreng, Governor of the Board of Governors of Phnom Penh and His Excellency Lt. Gen. Thet, Deputy Chief of Police and Phnom Penh Municipal Police Commissioner, has set out a plan and set up a working group to crack down on 76 illegal gambling cases and arrest 146 people .
Colonel San Sok Seiha further stated that the cases included 37 Vietnamese lottery booking sites, 9 illegal movie shops, 12 online gambling sites, 5 poker sites, 6 online slot machines, and 7 illegal lottery locations.
