The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported record combined revenue in 2023 while Wind Creek Bethlehem remained among the state’s top casinos for table games and slots.

The board said Thursday that combined revenue for the year was $5.7 billion. That total consists of slots, table games, sports wagering, internet gaming, video gaming terminals and fantasy contests. It’s a 9.3% increase from last year, when the combined total was $5.2 billion. Tax revenue was $2.3 billion.

Wind Creek remained the top casino in the state for table games, pulling in $241.2 million in 2023, a year-over-year decrease of 1%. Parx Casino in Bucks County was second with revenue of $202 million, also a 1% decrease.

On the other hand, Parx was a distant first in slots at $386.2 million, which was a 2% decrease. Wind Creek was second at $285 million, a 4.7% increase.

Wind Creek saw a 32% improvement in iGaming to $22.5 million, though it was well behind first-place Hollywood Casino at Penn National in Dauphin County. The facility owned by Berks County-based Penn Entertainment had iGaming revenue of $712.4 million.

The PGCB said iGaming had a 28% jump in revenue for the year for a total of $1.7 billion, making it the second-most popular type of gaming in the state behind slots.

The only downturn for Wind Creek was in sports wagering, which dropped more than 60% to $719,299 from $1.8 million. Valley Forge Casino Resort in Montgomery County was first in that category at $233.5 million, an 11.2% increase over the year.

The PGCB will release fiscal year totals in the summer.
