Where are Casinos Legal in the US?

New Jersey was the first state to accept legal online gambling. There are over 20 different online casinos at which to play. Land-based casinos have also made the move to online gaming.
Pennsylvania was the second state to offer legal online casinos in the United States. The state legalized online casino gaming in 2017. Online brands like DraftKings and FanDuel are providing their casino games to the people of Pennsylvania.
West Virginia passed a law for real money online casino gaming a year ago. DraftKings Casino was the first to land on the market and they were quickly followed by BetMGM. There are five brick-and-mortar casinos in the state of West Virginia and each can host three online casinos.
There is potential for a total of 15 online casinos in Michigan. There is one online casino for each of the 12 tribal casinos recognized by the federal state and one for the three commercial casinos.
Connecticut is the latest US state to legalize online casinos. There are currently only two online casino operators in the state. Online casinos are legal in five other states. All Indian states except Goa, Daman and Sikkim prohibit gambling. Some Indian state have legalized online gambling, including Sikksim. Horse racing is only allowed in select states, such as in Sikkhim, Goan Damans and Diu.
As per the Public Gambling Act of 1867, all Indian states except Goa, Daman and Sikkim prohibit gambling. Land-based casinos are legalized in GoA and Damans, as per Goan Public Gaming Act 1976. Online gambling and E-gaming are legal in Sikksim under the Sikka Online Gaming (Regulation) Rules 2009. Horse racing is permitted only in a licensed premise in select states.
