Washington Gambling App Losers Prevail in Lawsuit Against Maker
Washington-based users of PTT LLC’s online slot machine games won their class suit alleging the apps violated the state’s anti-gambling and consumer protection statutes.
The company, which does business as High 5 Games, gets revenue from virtual slot machines that are “just like” slot machines in physical casinos, the US District Court for the Western District of Washington said Tuesday, granting the players summary judgment on their claims. Washington prohibits gambling unless specifically authorized by state law.
