Missing wife

The winner – who spent only R22.50 on a ticket from the Brazil Cafe in Pretoria North – said his wife had left him earlier this year, and now he wants her back.

While it feels like he’s living in a dream and can’t believe this is really happening, he explains that his wife left him because he didn’t have enough money.

“I have no words to express my happiness, it has been such an emotionally draining year. My wife left me at the beginning of the year because I did not have enough money”.

Dream home, car and education

He said he wants his wife back in order to rebuild his life with her and their children. To boot, he’ll now be able to give her their dream home as well.

Apart from investing in their dream home, the winner said the rest of the jackpot would go towards purchasing a new home for his parents and paying off his debt.

He would also like to buy a new car, set up an education trust for his children and invest the rest of his winnings for a rainy day, he said.

Ithuba CEO Charmaine Mabuza congratulated the lucky guy, happy that another South African multimillionaire was created.

“When we took over the operations of the National Lottery, we promised to offer unprecedented, life-changing
jackpots; and we have delivered just that”, Mabuza said.
