With no grand prize winner from Monday night's Powerball drawing, the jackpot now is worth an estimated $1.2 billion with a cash value of $551.7 million. The drawing is the third largest in the Powerball game and seventh largest in U.S. lottery history, according to powerball.com.

There also was no grand prize winner in Friday night's Mega Millions drawing, so that jackpot rolled over to $300 million with a cash value of $137 million.

The most recent Powerball jackpot surpasses the July 19 drawing number when a ticket in California won a prize worth $1.08 billion, according to lottery officials.

The winning numbers from Monday's drawing were 12, 26, 27, 43, 47 and the Powerball was 5. The Power Play was 2X.

All prizes are set cash amounts, except for the grand prize. In California, prize payout amounts are pari-mutuel, meaning it's determined by the sales and the number of winners.
