US casino executive satisfaction survey launches 2022 edition

Gaming industry consultancy Spectrum Gaming Group and executive search firm Bristol Associates have launched the 22nd Annual Casino Gaming Executive Satisfaction Survey. The questionnaire is described by the parties as “a critical benchmark tool” designed to help the gambling industry attract, retain and motivate its executive talent.

"Our survey has been designed to keep pace with rapid changes in the gaming landscape, including ensuring that we address the goals and needs of executives in every gaming vertical," said Spectrum Gaming Managing Director Michael Pollock.

The annual survey will be accepting responses until September 30, 2022. This year’s questionnaire includes topics related to employee wellbeing, work preferences, and employers of choice. Gaming industry executives are encouraged to participate at the survey’s webpage. All individual responses are kept confidential, the organizers assure.

"We are inspired by the constant growth of our industry and the analysis our survey provides every year regarding real, current trends," added Ben Farber, President of Bristol Associates. "We continue to unravel what is at the heart of employee satisfaction, not just who is presently an employer of choice, but why!"

Hard Rock and PENN Interactive were voted top Employers of Choice in the 21st edition of the survey. Results were unveiled back in February. For the second straight year, gaming executives voted the Seminole brand as Employer of Choice among the Brick and Mortar Organizations category, followed by PENN Entertainment and Station Casinos.

Meanwhile, in the iGaming and Mobile Sports Betting category, executives picked PENN Interactive as Employer of Choice, followed by Hard Rock Online Casino and Caesars Interactive Entertainment, the survey showed. It was conducted over a span of six weeks, from September 2021 through October 2021, and received a total of 1,419 unique online responses.

According to 2021’s report, both employee satisfaction and optimism have decreased since 2020. And ever since the start of the pandemic, executives’ priorities and preferences have shifted in the gaming industry. However, even though companies have struggled to fill lower-level positions, executives continue to be in a competitive job market, the survey found.
