UK Grosvenor Casino Bristol completes $650k revamp, opens new jobs
Rank Group's Grosvenor Casino in Bristol, England, has created seven new jobs following a £500,000 (over $656,000) refurbishment. The venue, located on Anchor Road, has now upgraded its gaming equipment, as well as its bar and sports lounge area, as part of the revamp, which allows it in turn to add to its workforce in the city.
“With great nights out set to make a comeback in the city, we’re proud to have created a vibrant and modern entertainment venue for our guests,” Karl Grossman, general manager of Grosvenor Casino Bristol, said according to Business Live.
Both exterior and interior areas of the venue have also been redesigned. An official event has been scheduled for April 2 to mark the launch, reports the cited source. Grosvenor is the UK’s largest casino chain, with more than 50 sites across the region.
"A new look gaming experience, sports lounge and restaurant will be on offer, and we can’t wait to hear what customers think of the changes,” Grossman added. “We pride ourselves on being members of our local community and our investment will help create jobs and opportunities for everyone.”
Grosvenor’s gaming floor features five American roulette tables, a three-card poker table with 20 slots, three blackjack tables, and a number of electronic terminals, according to a Travel Bristol description. They offer a number of games, including multiplayer and three-card poker, blackjack, roulette and baccarat.
Grosvenor Bristol also has a bar and restaurant which can seat up to 40 guests and serves as the hub for many events taking place in the city. The venue is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Also in March, Grosvenor Casino in Blackpool, England, announced 13 new job opportunities with the company, available to jobseekers in the Blackpool area and spread across multiple departments, from card dealers to gaming team members.
"We have a really good gaming academy, where you can come in with absolutely no experience of a casino, and you can learn how to deal all of our games. And then we can upskill you across the rest of the casino as well,” Nikolas MacFadden, General Manager of Grosvenor Casino in Blackpool, told Blackpool Gazette.
Upskilling and training opportunities are available to all employees once they become part of the team. MacFadden further remarks that anyone can come into the position with “little to no experience,” gaining training thanks to the company’s regime.
Owned by Rank Group, Grosvenor Casinos is the UK’s largest multi-channel casino operator, with 52 venues across the UK. It offers a range of popular casino table games, including roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker; as well as electronic roulette and slot machine games.
The casino operator describes its venues as “a great place to kick start your career in the industry,” with flexible shifts “to fit around your personal life.” It guarantees “personal and career development,” along with opportunities to gain qualifications whilst on the job.
