Turning Stone strikes jackpot with 24 awards
VERONA — Turning Stone Resort Casino has earned 24 Best of Gaming Awards for 2021 from Casino Player Magazine, a leading authority in the casino gaming industry, which includes the highest honor of being named the #1 Best Overall Gaming Resort in New York for the sixth consecutive year. Recognized as the most award-winning resort casino in New York, Turning Stone earned the most first-place category awards and also the most total Best of Gaming Awards in New York.
The winners of Casino Player Magazine’s annual Best of Gaming awards are selected by casino visitors themselves to acknowledge exceptional service, luxury accommodations, outstanding activities, and other exciting amenities. Turning Stone was recognized as first in 14 categories: Best Overall Gaming Resort, Best Hotel, Best Suites, Best Pool, Best Spa, Best Golf Course, Favorite Casino Resort for a Vacation, Best Casino, Best Table Games, Best Video Poker, Best Blackjack, Best Bingo, Best Sportsbook Promotions, and Friendliest Sportsbook.
In addition to being named the Best Overall Gaming Resort in New York, Turning Stone also received accolades in several other categories: Best Rooms, Best High Limit Room, Best Non-Smoking Casino/Area, Best Craps, Best Overall Sportsbook, Best Prop Bets, Best Hotel Lobby, Best Dealers, Best Roulette, and Best Keno.
“When it comes to progress, it is our belief that if we are not continuing forward, we are moving backward,” said Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Oneida Nation Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter. “Instead of remaining stagnant or allowing the challenges of the past year and a half to overcome us, Turning Stone has made it our priority to improve through extensive investments and a commitment to continued excellence. These awards are a reflection of that commitment.”
Ahead of its 28th anniversary this summer, Turning Stone launched “The Best Never Rest” campaign to unveil a series of significant renovations and introduce several new venues across the award-winning property. The multi-million-dollar transformation campaign focused on many of its popular venues to ensure Turning Stone maintains its status as New York’s premier destination casino resort. Updates include fully renovating the resort’s entertainment Showroom with the latest in sound and lighting design, the addition of corporate meeting offerings, and seven Kitchens, an all-new buffet concept.
Earlier this year, Turning Stone was recognized by the prestigious Forbes Travel Guide with four esteemed Forbes Four-Star Awards, named by Golf Digest as one of the Best Golf Resorts in the Americas with its Editors’ Choice Awards, and earned accolades from AAA with three Four Diamond Awards.
Additionally, Golf Advisor named all three of Turning Stone’s 18-hole courses as the Top 3 Courses in New York.
