Thriving Island Resort & Casino adds new steakhouse, hotel and water park
Island Resort & Casino in Michigan completed a $33 million expansion. The project includes 128 new guest rooms and suites, a high-end steakhouse with stunning views, and a water park. It is the third expansion in three years. The expansion was announced in January 2020. There is a waiting list of 100 to 150 people every weekend. A new sportsbook is expected to be completed by the beginning of May. Space that was used as the property’s steak house is being converted into a food court. Island Resort is now the largest hotel north of Milwaukee.

It included 10 new luxury suites, 8 Golf Suites, Horizons Steakhouse and Splash Island. The resort is home to two of Michigan's top golf courses and hosted 33,000 rounds combined last year.
