Three Women Take Schenectady Casino to Court
Takeylyn Gibson and her daughters Tajhanae and Tahziana Gibson claim they were verbally and physically abused by several security guards of Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady. They are seeking financial compensation over damages. Capital Region Gaming LLC will represent the commercial casino and its five security officers.
Three women took Schenectady Casino to court, claiming that the security guards abused them. The women were at the casino and went home to get more money. They returned and one of the guards recognized them and waved them over to his entry lane. However, the daughters preferred to stay at another checkpoint. A cellphone video shows the guard pushing one daughter to the ground and throwing another one to a floor. The lawyer said that they suffered cuts and scrapes but the damage was mostly psychological. In February, Scenectady Casino celebrated its five-year anniversary of launching operations in upstate New York.
