THREE massive £1million National Lottery jackpot wins are yet to be claimed by punters who bought tickets on New Year's Eve.

One of the winners purchased their lucky ticket in a shop while the two others bought theirs online for the December 31 special EuroMillions draw.

For every EuroMillions line bought, UK lottery players are automatically given a EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker code on their ticket.

There is usually just £1m to be won per draw - but last month's special game saw ten £1m prizes up for grabs.

So far, seven of the ten prizes have been claimed, with Brits urged to check their tickets to see if they have the remaining three.

Camelot’s Andy Carter - Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery - said,  “It’s only a week since the draw, but we’re urging all EuroMillions players to log into their National Lottery account or check their tickets to be in with a chance of claiming one of these three amazing £1,000,000 prizes.

"What a way to begin 2022, as a brand new millionaire.”

Lucky winners have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize.

If another week goes by and no-one claims the prizes, the area where the shop-bought ticket was picked up will be revealed.

Brits have been lucky on the Euromillions in the past.

One couple who made the hall of fame were Colin and Chris Weir, who took home £161million in 2011.

They splashed out on a stunning mansion and their humble first buys included a checked sports jacket, a computer and a tractor.

Other winners include Adrian and Gillian Bayford from Suffolk, who won £148.6million in 2012 after they bought a Lucky Dip from a convenience store.

When they realised they had won, they celebrated by taking their children out for pizza.
